Safari overview On this 10-day Family safari & Zanzibar, you will visit Tarangire whereby you will have an opportunity to see what the park has to offer starting from the giant baobab trees to the huge number of largest African Elephants inside Tarangire, Ngorongoro crater which is a UNESCO world heritage site and the best place to witness the endangered black rhino, Lake Manyara National Park which is the home to the tree climbing lions as well as its birds’ richness and Serengeti National Park which has the greatest concentration of wildlife as well as famous for its great migration and spend 2 nights inside the park. At the end of your safari, you will fly to Zanzibar. Safari Itinerary Day 1: Arrival Day – Kilimanjaro Airport – Arusha Upon arrival at the airport (Kilimanjaro or Arusha) you will be met by our representative and drive you to your accommodation in Arusha for overnight stay waiting for your adventures to start on the following day. Day 2: Arusha – Tarangire National Park Early morning after breakfast at around 8:00am, you will have a short briefing before you depart to Tarangire National Park. The park with its endless tree savannah including the impressive baobab trees and seasonal marshes is also home to the largest population of elephants in northern Tanzania. You are also likely to spot giraffes, buffaloes, lions, zebras, gnus and other types of antelopes and gazelles. Your guide will open the roof of the vehicle for excellent wildlife viewing. Hot Lunch will be served at around 12:30pm at the picnic site and after that you will continue to explore this incredible park. In the evening after exploration, you will drive straight to your accommodation in Karatu area for dinner and overnight stay. Day 3: Karatu- Central Serengeti Early morning after breakfast at around 8:00am, you will drive straight to Serengeti National Park passing through the Ngorongoro Conservation Area and stop at a viewing pointhas a built pavilion that provides a near 180° view of the Ngorongoro crater. Continue your journey around the crater and descend the other side, enjoying your free “African massage” on the bumpy road, passing through Maasai villages on your way to the Serengeti National Park. At the Naabi Hill entrance gate, you can walk to a viewpoint with spectacular views across the endless plains of the Serengeti. Hot lunch will be served either at the gate or en-route towards the heart of Serengeti with an incredible set up by your guide inside the bush. The Serengeti National Park is home to the largest concentration of wildlife than anywhere else on the planet. You will have an unlimited drive until in the evening where you will drive straight to your tented camp or lodge for dinner and overnight stay. Day 5: Serengeti National Park to Ngorongoro Today you will depart early after your delicious breakfast to Ngorongoro crater with a game drive en-route. It is one of the most beautiful natural wildlife safari sites in the world and an exceptional place to interact with people from the Maasai tribe.On reaching the crater’s edge, the 20 km diameter caldera opens up before you in all its stunning glory and you will descend into the crater on an adventurous trail.
