Safari Itinerary Day 1: Arrival in Arusha Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport, our team will welcome you and transfer you to your hotel in Arusha. In the evening, you’ll attend a pre-trek briefing where our guides will discuss essential details about the trek, conduct a gear check, and answer any questions. Begin your trek through lush montane forest, covering approximately 10 kilometers (6.2 miles) over 4 to 5 hours to Miriakamba Hut (2,500m/8,202ft). Keep an eye out for various wildlife, including monkeys and colorful birds along the way. As you ascend, enjoy the breathtaking views of the surrounding landscape and the unique alpine vegetation. Arrive at Saddle Hut, where you can relax and enjoy the stunning vistas of the peak. Altitude: 2,500m/8,202ft to 3,570m/11,712ft Distance: 5km (3.1 miles) Trekking Time: 3-4 hours Accommodation: Saddle Hut Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner Day 4: Summit Mount Meru, then descend to Saddle Hut Wake up early for your summit attempt! Depart from Saddle Hut around midnight to reach the summit of Mount Meru (4,566m/15,200ft). The trek to the summit takes approximately 5 to 6 hours, followed by a descent back to Saddle Hut for a well-deserved rest.
