Day 1: Nairobi to Masai Mara

 

Begin your safari adventure with a scenic morning flight from Nairobi’s Wilson Airport to the Masai Mara, a short but breathtaking journey offering aerial views of Kenya’s rolling landscapes. Upon arrival, your guide will greet you at the airstrip and transfer you to your lodge or tented camp, where you’ll settle in and enjoy lunch.

In the afternoon, embark on your first game drive through the Mara’s vast savannahs. Famous for its high concentration of big cats, the Masai Mara is home to lions, cheetahs, and leopards, as well as elephants, buffalo, giraffes, and zebras. As the sun sets over the plains, return to your camp for a cozy evening in the heart of the African wilderness.

Day 2: Full Day in Masai Mara

 

Today is dedicated to exploring the wonders of the Masai Mara. After an early breakfast, set out on a morning game drive, when wildlife is most active. Witness the Mara’s rich diversity, including wildebeests, zebras, antelope, and a wide variety of birdlife. If you’re traveling during the migration season (typically between July and October), you may even witness the Great Migration river crossings at the Mara River, a dramatic display as wildebeests and zebras navigate through crocodile-filled waters.

Return to camp for lunch and a brief rest before heading out on an afternoon game drive, focusing on prime wildlife areas where predators such as lions and cheetahs can often be spotted. Enjoy a picturesque sundowner in the bush before returning to camp for dinner, where you can relax and recount the day’s sightings under the starlit sky.

Day 3: Masai Mara to Nairobi

 

Wake up to the sounds of the bush and enjoy a final breakfast before heading out on a last morning game drive. This is a wonderful opportunity to capture a few more memories and potentially spot any species you may have missed.
