Day 1: Arrival in Nairobi

 

Arrive in Nairobi, where you’ll be welcomed by your guide and transferred to your hotel. Enjoy an evening to relax and prepare for the safari adventure ahead. Dinner and overnight stay at your Nairobi hotel.

Day 2: Nairobi to Masai Mara National Reserve

 

After an early breakfast, depart by road to the legendary Masai Mara National Reserve, traveling through the scenic Great Rift Valley with panoramic views of the highlands. Upon arrival in the Mara, check into your lodge or camp and have lunch. In the afternoon, set off for your first game drive in the Mara’s open plains, known for its dense populations of lions, elephants, buffalo, and more. As the sun sets, return to your camp for dinner and a peaceful night surrounded by the sounds of the bush.

Day 3: Full Day in Masai Mara

 

Today is a full day of exploration in the Masai Mara. After breakfast, embark on a morning game drive to witness the park’s abundant wildlife. The Mara’s vast landscapes are home to the Big Five (lion, leopard, buffalo, elephant, and rhino), as well as cheetahs, giraffes, zebras, and wildebeests. If visiting between July and October, you may also witness the Great Migration, an extraordinary event where millions of wildebeests and zebras journey across the Mara River.

Enjoy a picnic lunch in the reserve and continue with an afternoon game drive, spotting various animals in their natural habitat. In the evening, return to camp, where you’ll enjoy a delicious dinner and a relaxing night.

Day 4: Masai Mara to Lake Naivasha

 

After breakfast, depart the Masai Mara and drive to the picturesque Lake Naivasha, arriving around midday. Check into your lodge, and enjoy lunch before embarking on a boat ride on Lake Naivasha. Glide across the lake’s calm waters, spotting hippos and various waterbirds such as pelicans, cormorants, and African fish eagles. Afterward, visit Crescent Island, where you can take a guided walk among grazing zebras, giraffes, and antelopes in a predator-free environment.

Return to your lodge in the evening, where you’ll enjoy dinner and the peaceful ambiance of the lake.

Day 5: Full Day in Serengeti National Park

 

Today, enjoy a full day in the Serengeti, exploring different areas of this legendary park. For those seeking an early-morning thrill, there’s the option to take a sunrise hot air balloon ride (additional cost) to watch the Serengeti wake up from above. Afterward, join your guide for morning and afternoon game drives, searching for the “Big Five” and other wildlife. The Serengeti’s vast landscapes, dotted with acacia trees and open plains, are home to countless animal species, including wildebeests, zebras, and gazelles. Enjoy a bush lunch in the shade, surrounded by nature’s wonders, before heading out again to catch sight of the incredible evening light over the plains. Return to your lodge in the evening for dinner and a night of rest.

Day 5: Lake Naivasha to Amboseli National Park

 

After breakfast, depart Lake Naivasha and journey south to Amboseli National Park, known for its incredible views of Mount Kilimanjaro and large elephant herds. Upon arrival, check into your lodge or camp and have lunch. In the afternoon, head out for a game drive, with the snow-capped peak of Kilimanjaro providing a stunning backdrop. Amboseli’s open plains and swamps attract a variety of wildlife, including elephants, lions, cheetahs, buffalo, and numerous bird species.

Return to camp in the evening for a delicious dinner and a restful night under the African sky, with Kilimanjaro looming majestically nearby.

Day 6: Amboseli to Nairobi

 

Enjoy a final morning game drive in Amboseli, capturing the park’s breathtaking landscapes and seeking out any animals you may have missed. Afterward, return to camp for breakfast before departing for Nairobi. Arrive in Nairobi in the afternoon, where you’ll enjoy a farewell lunch before being transferred to Jomo Kenyatta International Airport for your onward journey.
